Thinking in Chinese Medicine, co-authored with Dr. Peter Caron, introduces readers to the reasoning and observational framework used in Chinese medicine to understand health and disease. Rather than focusing on treatments, the book explains how practitioners interpret patterns of signs and symptoms within the body as an interconnected system. Written for patients, students, and curious readers, it offers a clear and accessible guide to how Chinese medicine makes sense of complex and evolving health conditions.

This work provides actionable strategies for healthcare practitioners to align their practices with their personal values and professional goals. His research includes studies on the efficacy of acupuncture and dry needling, notably the 2024 retrospective study demonstrating ultrasound evidence of trigger point size reduction in the trapezius following dry needling acupuncture. Additionally, his 2023 narrative review explores the intersection of acupuncture and dry needling techniques with trigger point physiology and diagnostics.

Beyond his clinical work, Jordan Barber is a healthcare consultant, educator, and author.
